Review of Ishtar (1987) by Senor C — 27 Aug 2010

I wasn't expecting it to be any good, but I didn't think it could be as bad as its horrific reputation. I was wrong. This film isn't just not funny, its excruciatingly so as it tries desperately to wring out a laugh while trudging through a bloated, pointless thriller plot.

And was it really necessary to have so many painful musical numbers? They're bad singers, we get it. Not even entertaining in a "so bad it's good" kind of way, just irritating and painfully boring.
