I think a lot of people probably feel ashamed to admit that they like this movie. Now don't get me wrong, I can perfectly understand why some (most) people wouldn't like it. There are parts of this movie that are virtually unwatchable to the normal sane human being.

But watching a Gaspar Noe film is like looking at abstract art. You can interpret it as many ways as you want but there is really only one thing there. And you have to respect Gaspar Noe's fearlessness for making a film like this.

He doesn't sugar-coat anything, are use fancy fast-cut-aways to make it seem worse than it really is. This film displays the absolute cruelty that people endure, and I think that if hearing it on the news didn't convince you enough, this will.
