Review of Irreversible (2002) by Derk D — 03 Feb 2017
Replete with gay-bashing, misogyny and brutal rape, this film is indeed gratuitous in its execution. I also find its 'arty' swirling camera work very disorienting, adding nothing to the film itself.
The film is essentially told backwards and I guess it makes a little sense if viewed in that way.
