I still don't understand why Black was hired to direct this. The charm of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was all in the writing and acting, but it could have been directed by anybody. And so it goes here. It's funny (Kingsley is hilarious), the acting is great (Kingsley is hilarious), and if I'd never seen the first two or KKBB I would have loved it.
But that's not how this works, and Shane Black still can't direct action. Also these Marvel bad guys are getting dumber with each movie. Healing fire soldiers? The hell?
