Review of Iron Man (2008) by Arvind S — 11 Feb 2018
What makes this movie special & so good is the passion that has gone into making it. Director Jon Favreau brought to life a character that not known to literally anyone in the world. Marvel usually meant Spiderman and at that time people did not even know there existed to Comic Book Universes (Marvel & DC); let alone who belonged in which.
The movie sticks to its purpose, structure a considerable amount of time building a story behind the origin of Iron Man. Why a money hungry weapons manufacturer would suddenly to stop the production of their primary revenue stream.
That was done right & we as audiences actually feel for the character. The villain, played by Jeff Bridges still remains as one of the most iconic & cold blooded villains of the MCU since its inception.
The choice is right for an origin movie: Iron Man facing off with another Iron Suit Clad Man (just bigger).
