Review of Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999) by Terror A — 30 Jan 2008
Anyone who thinks that Halle Berry can't act only has to see this film. She is terrific in this biopic on the life of actress Dorothy Dandridge, who became the first African-Amercian woman to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for the film 'Carmen Jones".
While the film itself is pretty much your standard bio film but it has enough strong powerful moments that make it than most in the genre. The supporting cast were good, the script is nicely written and the direction is solid.
