Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Robert V — 16 Jul 2016
Joel and Ethan Cohen did it again. You know when a movie ends, and it leaves you wanting more, yet it's a fitting finish that you then feel completely satisfied. They did this with No Country for Old men and now with Inside Llewyn Davis.
I loved Oscar Isaac in this. He was brilliant. He brought this character to a such a tragic dimension, yet made you feel so comforted by him. His passion for his own music, and his convictions of his taste of music made you feel that his struggling artist persona was worth his struggles.
Every scene was a movie of its own, and every song had such a beautiful story that you just wanted to bottle some of these songs, scenes, and lines and remember them always.
