Review of Inside Daisy Clover (1966) by Jay B — 16 Nov 2007
Really interesting film. Cheesy and melodramatic at times, but a much darker undercurrent emerges. Brilliant scenes include Nat being shown the score by a studio exec's wasted wife, and an entertaining suicide attempt sequence.
Supposedly set in the 30s (period effort is weak), this was a mildly genre-jumping film, 40 years before Adaptation. Worth a watch.
