Review of Inside Daisy Clover (1966) by Darryl C — 24 Feb 2008
Natalie wood is pretty incredible in this takeoff on the early career of judy garland (sorta). she dances herbert ross' choreography quite well and does her usual combination of gamine and quivering fragility to dazzling effect.
redford doesn't have much to do--but that's because the producers lost their nerve. plummer is good and gordon is, as always, the dotty eccentric. plus that great song from previn, 'you're gonna hear from me'--this is a good hollywood-on-hollywood film.
