Review of Inherit the Wind (1960) by Catherine N — 25 Oct 2010
Okay....This movie has a great many hurdles to clear...Heavey handed direction, poor score....a beathless Leslie Uggums singing at the end of teh movie....With all these short commings, this film is still a classic! You can't get any better than Spencer Tracy as Henry Drummond! Fredric March turns in a brilliant and understated perfomanca as Matthew Harriosn Brady.
The real surprise is Gene Kelly as the cynical E. K. Hornbeck! I wached this movie again tonight and enjoyed it completely!!! I still hate the score....but it is a classic for any young actor to watch and learn!
