Review of Infinitely Polar Bear (2014) by Sandra A — 14 Jul 2015
A delight of a film in spite of the topic, bipolarism, manic depression & the difficult economic circumstances this loving family of four find themselves dealing with/ wonderfully acted by the four main characters, Mark Ruffalo is a gem of an actor, Zoe Sadano is exquisite as his patient, back to graduate school wife in order to provide for the family something Ruffalo cannot because of his mental issues/their 2 daughters are revelations as they beautifully segway between anger, love, despair, hope in this beautifully portrayed family drama with numerous laughs/Maya Forbes deserves kudos for writing & directing/we could use more films of this type (Me Earl & the Dying Girl, as another example)I want thank the Gateway Theater in Fort Lauderdale for showing these indepndent film festival favorites/my wife & I would be lost w/o this theater & these films.
