Review of Infernal Affairs II (2003) by Shazanah H — 01 Sep 2007
Excellent sequel, if a bit confused. In lieu of the tightness of the IA1, IA2 seems sprawling. It manages to work well in some parts, expanding the characters greatly, but in other parts, it just seems not well thought out.
However, it does its job admirably well, making me want to watch IA1 again. Tsang and Wong are very fine in this one and Shawn Yue manages to hold his own. Edison Chen is terrible though.
