Review of Infernal Affairs (2002) by Mo C — 09 Feb 2009
The movie The Departed is based on. I was surprised at just how similar the two movies are; they pretty much follow all the same plot points. I could probably make a list of reasons The Departed is better than Infernal affairs, and I could also probably make another, equally long list of reasons the Hong Kong original is better.
But if I could only pick one, I would say Infernal Affairs is better for two reason: Andy Lau is a more convincing crooked cop than Matt Damon and it has a "better" ending.
