Review of Infernal Affairs (2002) by Mark S — 08 Jan 2011
The film that was remade as The Departed. Despite having seen the remake, I initially struggled to keep up with the plot of this original, such is its fast pacing. But as I began to adjust to it I started to admire it more and more.
It is certainly a very intelligent action film, and the script is strong. The imagery is quite powerful at times and stays with you, and the situations the characters find themselves in also leave a lasting impression.
In a word: excellent.
