Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Davidtejada — 14 Jun 2018
"Almost '15 years too late' as Syndrome said, however I could say happily that Brad Bird managed a worthy sequel that exceeds expectations and makes the franchise go for more".
That's right, as a child I always dreamed for the second part and finally it's here. Not as unique as the original but with so many brand-new features, characters and emotions that makes 'The Incredibles 2' top of my personal favorite movies from 2018 and animation. And I was completely delighted to say this because when I first saw the trailer I said to myself: "IT'S GOING TO BE TERRIBLE!!" and again life shows me how bad is prejudging. TO BEGIN WITH, the animation is top-notch and the battle sequences as well, the humour introduced and developped was hilarious and innovative (considering how bad the daddy's housekeeping plot was made in recent movies), then the beloved characters of our childhood have a good participation (JACK JACK WAS THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS MOVIE) and finally the plot of resurging the superheroes: FANTASTIC.
Although it surprised me, what made me uncapable of giving the film a perfect score were: The induction of lots of new characters (more or less 8 new characters), the villain "Underminer" who was WASTED and probably a design of the characters' faces (it felt for me more like an anime) and finally the villain (In spite of being terrific, it could have been EXPLOITED MORE...) This is an one-of-a-kind animated movie and Pixar has proved us again its great capacity, ideas and projects that they have for the family.
