Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Jon D — 24 Aug 2018
14 years.
It's been almost a decade and a half since The Incredibles graced us with their wacky family dynamic and incredible super powers.
I went into Incredibles 2 with high hopes and expectations. For the most part, I wasn't disappointed.
The animation was, as expected from Pixar, top notch. However, I found the voices and lip-syncing to be a little off. I'm not sure if that was the particular theater, or an actual issue with the film. Either way, it was a minor complaint.
The characters themselves were every bit as entertaining as I remembered. I've enjoyed Craig T. Nelson in many things, and his work as Mr. Incredible was great once again. Bob Odenkirk, as Winston, was an excellent addition to the film.
I thought that the plot was interesting, even though it was completely predictable. It was cool that Elastigirl was put in a more prominent position, and it was fun to see Mr. Incredible tackle the perils of parenthood.
Overall, Incredibles 2 is a worthy sequel and a fun viewing experience.
