Review of In Time (2011) by Nathan H — 13 May 2014
In Time exists in world where everyone is immortal, and the population is controlled by making the worldwide currency how much time a person has left to live. While the setting had a lot of potential, the story itself is a half-rate mash-up of The Fugitive or Bonnie and Clyde.
But my biggest gripe is the lack of imagination the writers put into this movie after they came up with the time concept. Despite having engineered away death, this world is so plain and boring, a picture of modern day Times Square would probably look more futuristic and exciting.
Although, I will say that this would probably make a good dramatic TV series if anyone choose to develop it.
