Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Kem W — 12 Jan 2014
A pretty good crime drama. Jones is ex-army looking for his son who is first missing then found murdered. Theron is the detective that helps him along the way. Jones gives a great performance. It's his portrayal of a grim, grieving father that raises this movie above par.
I guess the sub-text is PTSD but that's not clear from this at times gruesome and depressing story. Recommended with reservations. (For grimness).
