Review of In the Name of the Father (1993) by Marco F — 12 Jun 2009
This is more like a 7.5/10. Daniel Day-Lewis's typically brilliant performance is the highlight of this film that is a compelling story nevertheless. Good writing helps Day-Lewis to give his character's story more crediblity inculding his performance in the mold of his character.
It's not just Day-Lewis who gives a good performance- Pete Postlewaite, Tom Wilkinson and Emma Thompson, all seasoned English actors- are all great.
