Review of In the Land of the Cannibals (2004) by Senor C — 03 Apr 2011
Land of Death has Cannibal Holocausts finger prints all over it..you even get a little bit of animal killing. One scene of a little boar which is inexcusable but it happens early in the film & is quickly forgotten about & I don't hold too much against it.
Those who have seen CH will notice the similarities as some scene just feel like they are re-imaging. What's left isn't bad. It's bloody & for fans of the cannibal genre (I wouldn't call myself a fan even though I've seen enough of them.
.that stems from being a horror fan more then anything else) It's probably one of the better ones to come down the pike even if the acting is a bit suspect.
