IT IS TOO LONG!
Listen, it is really well done. The music is good, the story mostly nice. But they could have cut each musical number by 25% and lost nothing. I was looking at my watch and at one point it was 9:45, I looked again and it was 9:41. When my date and I got up at the credits, the usher came over and said, “you’re going to want to stay and wait for an extra scene at the end.” I looked that man in the eye and said, “I can assure you, sir, that is not what we want.
