Review of In the Heights (2021) by Serengeti — 18 Jun 2021

I had no expectations when I went to see this movie. Only knew that it was a musical and expected to really enjoy it. Wrong! I had no idea that the “music” was mostly rap and that there would be no catchy melodies to remember.

For me and my companion, sitting through the first hour was torture. Hardly any plot, no wonderful music to enjoy, no feeling of wanting to dance in the aisles. Very, very disappointing! We left at that point.
