Review of In the Cut (2003) by Adam B — 27 Jun 2010
I think the reason this film is best known for the graphic sex scenes, is because it's the only bloody thing that happens! The rest of the film is made up of camera shots that attempt to make the film look artistic and thought provoking, some very dull scenes between Meg Ryan's character and her various students, half sister and the police officer she becomes close to; which in my opinion lacked any real chemistry, it felt like the actors had never met before.
I give this one star because in fairness it starts to get a tiny bit interesting towards the end, but I wouldn't blame anyone for turning the film off before getting there because the build up is incredibly dull.
