A film doesn't work for me if any of the main characters are unlikable or unpleasant to the point where you just don't care about them one way or the other. Sara Simmonds character fits that description perfectly.
Any sane guy would have left he at the restaurant the met in. I kept thinking over and over "why is he staying with her". The film simply doesn't work. A real nasty downer of a movie.
