WHAT?!! A Van Damme movie where The Van Damme doesn't deliver his signature screaming slow motion jump kick?!! A Van Damme movie where he does not know martial arts?! BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!
The Van Damme tries to take a more dramatic turn in this movie, which is set in a prison, as he plays a man is convicted of murdering the man who murdered his wife. He is sent to a prison in Russia to serve his sentence, and from here the movie's plot veers wildly from rape subplots to The Van Damme's cellmate who rips people's tongues out with pliers because they talk to much. There is not much action in the movie, and the attempts at serious drama fall flat. Not to mention, the flick is just boring. Thumbs down.
