Review of In Hell (2003) by Joel A — 23 May 2010
Not to bad considering it's a Jean Claude Van Damme film. This story itself is very simple and aimied at male dominated audience, due largely to the accessive violence & macho relationships.
The film tries to create all this emotion linked to JCVD's charcter, but as the audience you just don't buy it. As a violent martial arts film it would have been more successful, instead in a way of being something it's not.
Despite it's flaws I found it kept my interest through out, it entertains rather than enlighten....one of his better films for sure....
