Review of In Cold Blood (1967) by Serge S — 26 Sep 2008
Not going through the whole movie in detail I'll say the whole thing is nearly perfect and some scenes that wow and then things are so great that nearing the end it starts to amaze, one or two scenes have become favorites. A chilling moment is that night of the killings, if you live near or in Connecticut the house murders seem to bear similarity to the Petit family murders, whether or not if this will feel that way for a lot longer I'm not sure but much of the rest of this movie holds some forever lasting truth about life and death.
The movie conveys some messages that seem simple but by the end of this story they hit you with such indisputable reality, now that is something spectacular.
An insightful, moving and above all a cold film.
