Review of In Bruges (2008) by Harry F — 01 Jan 2013
The first time I saw this film was with a couple of friends the same age as me, We LAUGHED OUR ASSES OFF, the humor was a much needed refreshment, that this movie employs to keep you watching and create life into these characters.
the humorous scenes were done so well that it felt natural, this including the last scene. but other scenes did seem forced to create a laugh out of the audience, with some of the being misplaced, e.g.
the scenes between the midget and Collin Farrell's character. I then later watched this movie with my younger brother and noticed how slow it was at times, and realized he was getting a little bored with the movie.
I also realized that if you watched this movie on your own you probably WILL NOT LAUGH as much. The humor is definateley AN AUDIENCE BASED HUMOR, in which the audience would have to be in their late teens.
GOOD WATCH.
