Review of In Bruges (2008) by The3Academysins — 17 Nov 2017
In Bruges is a very well written, very sardonic black comedy. The cast does a very good job with the script, and the shots are excellent from start to finish. The script also provides insight into the complexity of violent acts versus non violent acts.
My biggest problem with In Bruges is that the pacing is all over the place, and sometimes makes for some tonal confusion. All in all though, Martin McDonaugh has some excellent work here, and In Bruges is definitely worth your time if you like dark comedies.
