Review of In a Bedroom (2012) by Ivan C — 19 Dec 2008
Revenge not as glory but as necessity? Frightening, but it begs the question. Detachment. Tom Wilkinson does it so well. Didn't fully buy that they didn't have more intense emotional breakdowns, though.
Many subtle points to speak of (Tom's discussion of the female lobster, poetry, etc). The slow shots of the road on the way back from the woods are brilliant. I think this will age better than American Beauty.
