This movie is downright brilliant. It takes a sharp turn about a quarter into the movie and it is quite unexpected. Tom Wilkinson is brilliant here. I can honestly say that the movie is very realistic, but if I gave away why, I will have said too much.
Let's just say that some of the content here hits close to home for me, and it is presented very accurately from my experiences. Todd Field is an excellent director. I prefer this film to Little Children, but Little Children is also an excellent piece.
