Review of Immortal Beloved (1994) by Nathan H — 22 Apr 2008
Excellent piece of cinema, offering a different sort of profile of its subject. We come to understand Ludwig Van Beethoven, after his death, through the stories told by the many women he loved/ abused. Always engaging and entertaining, and doubles as a sort of mystery story for the protagonist to deconstruct as he speaks with so many different figures from Beethoven's life.
A really rich film.
