If you can see throught it, the whole show should be characterized as a well acted satire. In a society infatuated with celebrity, Affleck seems interested in breaking it all a part. Although there are many films out there that have hard working performances and strategic value, "I'm still here" mocks the idea of artistry and cuts to the core of celebrity.
The Phoenix family, from the start, were a show biz transition that had luck on their side. Joaquin is an artist who is able to second guess an ignorant audience whom expects a certain characterization.
From his first quip, "Love me or hate me, but dont misunderstand me," the film stretches the value of what a ticket goer sees in a hollywood hero.
