I'm not sure what the point of this was. Does Joaquin Phoenix think he's some kind of Andy Kaufman? I kept watching it with hopes of some kind of explanation at the end. Some kind of message? Something to validate watching an hour and a half of some dude having a breakdown.
Anything? Nope. Just a bunch of shit. I give him credit for being in character for as long as he did, but it just doesn't seem like it was worth the effort.
