Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Andrew D — 03 Jan 2011
Method acting taken to the extreme. There are some hilarious moments but it should've been funnier. It actually tries to pass it all off as real instead of playing up the laughs ala Borat. Like Borat it's understandable why it's made people angry - it's a tasteless, mean-spirited troll job.
We get scenes that drag on and on and disgusting, unfunny behavior. I admire what he and Casey Affleck tried to do but it failed unfortunately. Could've been a brilliant satire but instead is a witless, sporadically entertaining, boring mockumentary.
