Review of I'm Not Ashamed (2016) by Kerry M — 25 Oct 2016
Taking into account that this movie is based on the journals of one of the victims, Rachel I think this movie was very well done! Accurately depicting the struggles that many Christian teens face while trying to find their place in this world.
I for one am glad it didn't glorify the killers as many movies do, while at the same time didn't completely ignore the subject of bullying. Not because it wanted to make a political statement but because it was what was on the heart & mind of Rachel.
Massey McLain & Ben Davies portrayals of Rachel & Nathan were excellent! A caliber above most faith based movies & I will be looking out for them in the future! Overall this is a great movie, leaving me inspired & hopeful that good can come out of such tragic events & I/we should be more aware of how we are impacting the people around us.
Will I be remembered for sharing the love of Christ or just like the rest of the world. If a movie can truly change hearts & entertain well then I think it's fantastic!
