Review of I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) by Stefan P — 07 Jan 2009
Chan-wook Park directing a romantic comedy set in a mental institution, how could this possibly turn out bad? The answer is that it can't. The unique visual style is amazing and Su-jeong Lim is flawless in the tough role.
Storywise it's original, bizarre, romantic and highly entertaining. Some say that it's similar to "Amelie from Montmartre" and I couldn't agree more. If you liked Amelie you will like Cha Young-goon, even though she is a bit crazier.
Park has delivered another masterpiece.
