Review of Ikiru (1952) by Tina M — 05 May 2008
A brilliant meditation on death, and more importantly, life. Devastatingly heartbreaking, and a few times cheerful... and always critical of bureaucracy. I rarely cry in films and this film made me cry like a baby.
SEE THIS FILM BEFORE YOU DIE. Seriously. This proves, again, for me that Kurasawa is the MAN.
