Review of Ikiru (1952) by Alex K — 12 Jun 2008
Aside from Seven Samurai, this is Kurosawa's best. This is probably the most moving and versitile movie that I have ever seen. Takashi Shimura is brilliant, and I could feel every bit of his sadness.
HIs performance is even more impressive once you see how he is in Seven Samurai. Truly a brilliant film.
