Review of Ikiru (1952) by Henri L — 12 Jul 2008
This might not has as innovative a narrative structure as "Rashomon". Instead it has a heartfelt and unforgetable story about making amends for a wasted life. The need to do good. It is told melancholy and tragic but not without a sense of humour.
Beautiful. A humanist masterpiece.
