A quite remarkable little film. I have still yet to see a kurosawa film that I dont love. a portrait of a man living an empty life, learns of his imminent death and eventually decides to leave whatever legacy behind that he could.
its filled with some of cinemas greatest moments. the scene in the swing will utterly destroy you. all hail kurosawa, master of asian cinema.
