Review of Ikiru (1952) by Luc A — 19 Feb 2012
The best portrayal of bureaucratic bungling I have ever witnessed in a movie. A Kurosawa masterpiece although I miss the epic battle-scenes that are the hallmarks of most of his other films... Kanji's words are unforgettable: "Life is brief.
Fall in love, maidens. Before the crimson bloom. Fades from your lips. Before the tides of passion. Cool within you, For those of you. Who know no tomorrow.".
