Review of Ikiru (1952) by Wezul S — 08 Jun 2013
A poetic parable about the fragility of life is beautifully executed in this little film. A man, with terminal stomach cancer, tries desperately to find meaning in his mundane life, devoid of friends & estranged from his son.
Unable to make human connections, he buries himself in a park-building project, & reluctantly becomes a hero posthumously.
