F#&*ing brings disfunctional faamilly to a new lvel. This guy is no nit wit, he's just a rebel to be his own people. The brother plays a particularly quirky part but to some, other than a slightly weird romantic entanglement he's the clean cut success guy of the century.

I absolutly adore Clare Danes, she's got this ability to blow people off, fitting, in almost all her parts and frustrated to a tea with the result of her attitude (sort of weird as is true of women, confusing).

The mother character played by Susan Sarendon is strange but is the rock of the family next to the brother. She is anyway, so its kinda defunct how the film starts so it goes back a ways a to how this act came about. Really only skips back to a younger age Igby a few times and the rest of the film carries on cronologically.

It is a character drama so I guess one of the most integral to the story is the stylish junkie girlfriend to the family friend TC or CJ or sumthing played by Goldburn, she's charismatic and in real life given this type of going throught he motions would have come off the junk at moments of certain events... but who could guess a new yorkers set of lifes events staying in the inner city with really nothing much to do.

Its a little artistic and more than lot alternative but ends kinda wrong so I guess thats why they give it to you at the start of the picture and let you then formulate an emotion for the bizzare conclution, letting just getting there be all the fun.
