Review of Idiocracy (2006) by Tamatai N — 29 Aug 2010
Mike Judge has always been known for his rather subtle style of satirical comedy, ranging from animated sitcoms like King of the Hill to cult classic films like Office Space. Here, it would seem the satire is not so subtle.
..in fact, he cranks it all way up to 11 to make a bold and hilarious comment on modern, western society that couldn't be more relevent in today's comfort-driven, consumer-orientated, desensitized, plug & play state of humanity.
I found this film to be an immensely entertaining and oddly enlightening piece of modern satire that should still be scarily relevant through the coming few decades.
