Review of Idiocracy (2006) by Gamzguy17 — 21 Aug 2021
Judge's "Idiocracy" has bite in its social satire as well as some entertaining, even witty, comedy. However, it never goes beyond the face value of its satire. It insistently repeats the same types of gags and jokes regarding the dumbing down of human intelligence, but with that in mind, we, the audience, can argue with one another that this is part of the film's genius because it is such an important message that needs to be stuck with all of us.
Lastly, the opening three minutes of the film are golden.
