Ok, if you don't like thrillers or movies that pretty much take place entirely in the rain and darkness, then by all means skip it. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I didn't see where it was going and it spent enough time distracting me with other things to avoid being directly obvious (which gave it a much higher rating in the end than if it had been a rehash of some old plot visited and revisited a million times).

Set at a motel in Nevada, all the characters are trapped by a flood. We learn things about them as the movie goes along. I don't want to say too much in case someone hasn't seen it. And THAT is what makes the movie worthwhile. It took me by surprise and that is a very welcome thing in this day of tired old replayed plots that you just see coming miles down the road.

Keep in mind it's dark both in some of the characters um,.... outcomes? is that how I should put it? well, one character gets a big metal pipe through his mouth... are we clear? is this thing on? :) So it's both dark in the horror bits but also in the actual lighting. It is dark. If that sort of thing drives you crazy in film like some of my friends, then skip it but you'd be missing out on a pretty fun ride overall.

Not a classic or one of the world's best ever. BUT I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it and if you haven't seen it,and you like horror every now and again and prefer a psychological thriller to out and outright gore (SAW) then I highly recommend this one. **The pipe in the mouth was very quick and over with fast... :) It wasn't really that type of movie. It's better than that.
