Review of Ichi the Killer (2001) by Scott S — 07 Mar 2009
[6.0] Arterial gushers galore. While this movie is probably best known for its over-the-top violence, it also has a fairly interesting story. I liked the ruthless Kakihara character, who longed for a sadist who could best him.
His relationship with Ichi reminded me of Batman and the Joker. On the downside, the movie is about 30 minutes too long and for all the buildup, the final confrontation between Ichi and Kakihara is somewhat disappointing.
