Review of Ichi the Killer (2001) by Ricky G — 10 Aug 2009
An obvious inspiration for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. People tend to focus on the bizarre and gruesome aspects of Miike's work, when in truth he is a master director. For a little bit of extra fun, pretend the split-mouthed Gangster is The Joker, and Ichi is Batman.
