Reinvention of an old concept. Ichi is every bit as deadly as the original blind swordsman. The film is near perfect. Character development is solid. Performances are excellent. Cinematography is beautiful.
Soundtrack fits perfectly in every instance. And, best of all, this film avoids the cliched romance-heavy happy ending. A genuine treat to watch. Definitely go out and grab this one.
